| Biography: | I received a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education, and a M.S. in Learning Disabilities from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My classroom experience includes 23 years of work with children from preschool through grade 9. An integral part of my work is to present teacher workshops. These help teachers identify specific learning needs within the classroom and offer techniques to address them. My teaching background has been rich and varied due to military moves which involved 5 different states and one D.O.D. tour in Germany. My family proudly chose Virginia Beach as our home 13 years ago. I currently provide private tutoring in my home which includes reading, math, and the evaluation and remediation of handwriting. I thoroughly enjoy working with students, parents, and other professionals to solve learning difficulties. There is nothing else I could imagine doing for my profession. |
