| Biography: | Kristi J. Nguyen, OTR/L, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. She has spent her entire career working as a pediatric therapist, providing services to children ages 3-21 in school, home-based and clinical settings. Kristi is the owner & manager of OT-Kids, providing home based OT services to children with special needs throughout lower Fairfield County. She also owns and manages The Write Stuff, which is a handwriting tutorial business that provides handwriting services to children who are struggling with writing but do not have any additional concerns. Kristi is also the Director of Occupational Therapy at Connec-To-Talk, LLC. a private speech and occupational therapy clinic in Wilton CT. She runs weekly handwriting/fine motor groups that emphasize exploration of fine motor coordination through imagination and creativity. In 2008 Kristi was awarded the Creative Classroom Mini Grant by the Stamford CT. Chamber of Commerce allowing her to create a Handwriting Without Tears program for children in grades K-5 who were struggling with handwriting mechanics but did not otherwise qualify for special education intervention. Kristi has received her training and certification in the Handwriting Without Tears Pre-K thru 5th grade curriculum, as well as in the administration of the Print Tool Assessment.
