Biography:	Chantal Friele received her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy at New York University. She is licensed to practice in New York State and Connecticut. Chantal has worked privately and at various New York City Department of Education school settings for over 17 years. Chantal has received advanced certificate graduate level training in autism from the University of Kansas. She is trained and certified in the Handwriting Without Tears Pre-K-5th Grade Curriculum. In addition to performing evaluations and providing therapeutic intervention, Chantal is certified in using the Sensory Integration Praxis Test (SIPT) as developed by Jean Ayres. She incorporates a multi-sensory approach in order to help children learn and achieve their desired educational goals. Chantal's professional interests and focus are in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, sensory processing and modulation and self- regulation disorders, fine and visual motor and, handwriting difficulties. A collaborative approach is combined with working with parents, educators, related service providers, and classroom support personnel, to ensure therapeutic carryover. Chantal is available for evaluations, individual consultations, tutoring, and handwriting intervention in Westchester County (Lower Hudson Valley).
