Biography:Rachel Shuster received her B.S. in Communication Speech Studies from Ohio Dominican University. She completed graduate level courses as a reading specialist, and coursework in the areas of special education and developmental disabilities for grades Pre-K through 12 as well as curriculum development for young children. Rachel has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State Community College and holds an Ohio teaching license for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Rachel is certified instructor in the Handwriting Without Tears Pre-K through 5th grade curriculum and the application of Print Tool Handwriting evaluation. The Ohio Department of MRDD recognizes Rachel as an Early Intervention Program Assistant. Rachel is certified in Perceptual Motor Development. Rachel has 15 years experience in the field of education serving children with special needs and typical children in classroom settings, home environments, and community settings. Rachel has worked for the past ten years as an Independent Provider to children with special needs for Franklin and Delaware Counties. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and serves as a board member for the Columbus branch of IDA. Rachel is listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
