| Biography: | Sonya draws on both her comprehensive professional experience as an occupational therapist and her firsthand knowledge as the mother of three young children in evaluating clients and tailoring therapeutic programs designed to meet each child's specific needs. Sonya strives to enrich each child's life through mastering the simple and complex activities required for long-term academic success and community involvement. Using the HWT curriculum together with her skills as an occupational therapist, she works towards instilling a sense of accomplishment through the mastery of handwriting. Sonya is trained in the HWT Pre-K through 5th grade curriculum Sonya graduated with an MS in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in 2005. She is NDT (Neurological Developmental Technique) trained and trained in Vestubular Activation using an Astronaut Board. She is a professional member of: AOTA, NYSOTA, and NBCOT |
