Biography:EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS Bonnie Stephan, OTR/L received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Loma Linda University June 1991, is licensed and certified as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Tennessee, received the Handwriting Without Tears Level I Certification August 24, 2007, and passed the Praxis II, Elementary Eduction: General Content Exam for the state of Tennessee April 27, 2009. She is presently working on a Masters Degree in Special Education at Western Kentucky University. She presently provides handwriting intervention for students in private schools and for students who "fall through the cracks" for intervention in the public school system. WORK EXPERIENCE Bonnie has conducted five preschool camps and provides one to one hand writing evaluation and instruction. She has 1 1/2 years working in the Public School System as an Occupational Therapist, 1 year working as a Substitute Teacher grades Pre-School - 12. At the Community College level she has taught Learning Strategeis. For the past four years she has worked in the New Skills Department at Volunteer State Community College tutoring Developmental Math (Basic Math, Elementary and Intermediate Algebra.) For the past 12 years has taught piano and small music groups. Previous Occupational Therapy experience has included 8 1/2 years employed in various neuro. / ortho. inpatient and outpatient settings.
