| Biography: | Shannon Floyd graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI in 2003. In 2004, she began working as an OT in Tampa, FL in a private pediatric outpatient clinic. Introduced to HWT through other therapists/co-workers and fell in love with the program. As many of my clients and parents have stated "it just makes sense." After Tampa, FL Shannon moved to Key West, FL where she provided Occupational Therapy Services to children in the social services program. The children loved to sing & dance to the "Get Set For School" CD & greatly enjoyed the multi-sensory approach to learning their letters. Shannon began working at The Speech Clinic in Nassau, Bahamas in 2006 and developed their OT program. She introduced Handwriting Without Tears to several schools. One private school swithced their handwriting program after seeing the progress children were making!! The program has made handwriting easier for many children and continues to prove itself! |
