Biography:Lisa utilizes the Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program with her daughter who has Down syndrome. Lisa enjoyed the HWT activities so much that she decided to attend the Pre-K and Printing & Cursive workshops to learn more about the program. After participating in the most enjoyable 2-day workshop she has ever attended, she decided to pursue HWT certification in order to share the numerous benefits of the program with children of all abilities. Lisa's love for children has led her to volunteer for various community service positions. She was involved in the Girls Scouts as a Troop Leader and Boys Scouts of America as Assistant Cubmaster. She currently co-leads a playgroup for 3-4 year-old children with Down syndrome. She is patient and caring and has a strong desire to help children build their self-esteem and confidence, leading to academic achievement. Lisa conducts individual, in-home tutoring sessions for children who are encountering handwriting difficulties. She also hosts Handwriting Camps for small groups of children with similar needs. She is trained in the Handwriting Without Tears™ Pre-K through 5th grade curriculum and in using The Print Tool assessment.
