Biography:Dr. Denise Hoffman, OTD, OTR/L, BCP, started with GSS | HWT |KWT in 2004 as an Independent Consultant before becoming an employee in June 2008 with the International and National Tradeshow Division. Dr. Hoffman opened her own clinic in 2012, Occupational Therapy Plus PLLC, specializing in sensory processing, literacy, visual perceptual, and feeding occupations for children and adolescents with the use of animal assisted therapy. Additionally, Dr. Hoffman provides hippotherapy services at the Cheff Center in Augusta, Michigan as well as primary care for W Michigan School of Medicine Multidisciplinary and Cleft Palate Clinics. Furthermore, Dr. Hoffman has transitioned into higher education teaching while balancing her clinical practice. Dr. Hoffman has completed undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University and Western Michigan University and completed her graduate doctoral post professional studies from Quinnipiac University specializing in advocacy and professional development. Dr. Hoffman earned the Michigan Roster of Fellows from the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association in 2016 for her role in advocacy initiatives and has earned her Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2016. Dr. Hoffman is passionate about occupational therapy and helping people and continues to expand her role teaching through collaborations with the Chinese National Disability Association to foster increased awareness, advocacy, and action for families with limited resources. Denise enjoys spending time in her log cabin with her husband, five children, and many fur babies. She loves to explore new farmer's markets, yoga, and relaxing on Lake Michigan beaches.
