Biography:	Ilyse Zimmerman, OT/L received her BA degree in Psychology from Binghamton University and her MA in Occupational Therapy from New York University. She has two years of pediatric experience providing services to children in an acute care setting and a private clinic. Ilyse's experience using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum includes adapting the program to suit the needs of children with sensory disorders, learning and physical disabilities, and developmental delays. Ilyse is knowledgeable in the complete Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, covering Prek through Grade 5. She makes use of games during her treatment to make learning handwriting fun and strongly encourages parent participation. Ilyse's education goes beyond her Master's degree, as she continued her education with workshops including: The Neurodevelopmental Approach to Therapy, The Learning Triad: How the Eyes, Hands and Cognition Impact Writing and Other School Activities, and The Whole Child: The SANE (Sleep, Activities, Nutrition, Environment) System of Pediatric Assessment and Treatment.
