| Biography: | Julie McIntire received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from the University of Oklahoma. She has 38 years of experience providing OT services in a variety of settings to include hospitals, clinics, home health care, private and public school systems. During the past 20 years, she has provided OT intervention with students in the Pre-K and elementary grade levels. For 15+ years she has provided Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) instruction and support for teachers, administrators and parents. As a member of a school district OT team, she had assisted in standardizing the use of the HWT curriculum for Pre-K to 3rd grade levels, with successful outcomes. Julie has been using the HWT curriculum for direct instruction and intervention with students at the Pre-K through 5th grade levels. |
