| Biography: | I am a former kindergarten teacher with a degree in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University. I got hooked on Handwriting Without Tears® (HWT) several years ago when my son struggled with writing in kindergarten. He worked with a HWT Handwriting Specialist and the results were amazing! After just a few months of weekly sessions, his pencil grip improved, his letter formation became standardized and his legibility and control saw big improvements as well. His confidence and self-esteem increased and so did his school work and grades! My experience with my own son gives me a unique understanding of the challenges faced by children who struggle with handwriting, and my background as a teacher enables me to connect with children in a way that motivates them to learn and work hard to improve their skills.
