Biography:Kerry began her career working at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital's Child and Adolescent Program. There she provided therapy to children of all ages including premature infants to young adults. Kerry went on to work at the private practice Occupational Therapy Associates Wakefield. There she provided services to children and adolescents experiencing difficulties in sensory processing and motor dysfunction. Kerry currently works at a public school in Massachusetts where she helps to facilitate access to curriculum and learning. She completes assessments and works with other members of the school team to help students receive an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. Kerry develops Individualized Education plans with the family and team. She identifies student annual goals and determines services, supports, modifications and accommodations. Kerry also assists the general education team as part of Response to intervention (RtI). She has attended various continuing education and training courses in areas including feeding and oral motor skills, myofascial release, sensory processing, self-regulation and assistive technology. Kerry is trained in the Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum for grades Pre-K to Five and use of the Print Tool. Kerry obtained Handwriting Without Tears Level 1 Certification in 2008.
