Biography:	Born and raised in Florida, Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2001. For graduate school, she relocated to Miami and earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida International University in 2004. Laura is very passionate about working with children and has been in private practice for the past 14 years. This has given her the opportunity to work with infants, toddlers and school aged children with a wide range of abilities. She has extensive experience working with children who have developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, low muscle tone, and sensory processing disorder. She is certified as a handwriting specialist (Handwriting Without Tears) and has training in sensory integration, Neuro Net, Brain Gym, and NDT. Through years of experience, Laura has learned to identify the underlying factors for a child's delay. She uses this information to create individualized activities that are fun and highly effective. Parents are then provided with tools and strategies they can employ without feeling overwhelmed. She believes each child's therapy should serve a greater purpose than simple improvements, and instead provide them with the tools needed for a lifetime of success.
