Biography:	Angela Hankins graduated from Temple University in May 1986, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational therapy, then obtained her Master of Science Degree in Restorative Practices in June 2012. Her professional experiences include a plethora of settings, including acute care, nursing homes, rehabilitation services and pediatrics (early intervention and the Philadelphia School District). Ms. Hankins has always loved handwriting, and recognized the impact and power of beautiful, legible, correct handwriting as a student, parent and professional. Handwriting is one of the main areas of concerns addressed in the Philadelphia School District. Her role is to facilitate gross motor, fine motor, perceptual and ultimately reading and writing skills for her clients. The Handwriting without Tears (HWT) Curriculum and supplies have been an important part of her treatment strategies for as long as she has been a pediatric Occupational therapist. Gaining the HWT certification is a valuable accomplishment that has enhanced her knowledge, understanding of the handwriting process and development, and effectiveness even more.
