| Biography: | Shanti Malladi, MS,OTR/L is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University, California. In addition, Shanti has a Certificate of Specialized Training in Sensory Integration from the University of Southern California/ Western Psychological Services. She has 10 years of experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist working in various setting (birth to 21 years). Currently, Shanti works as a school-based occupational therapist and owns a "Therapy In Play". In addition, she held various responsibilities in the Occupational Therapy Association of California, holding board positions. Shanti has over 8 years of experience using the Handwriting Without Tears™ program with pre-school and elementary school aged children. In addition, she frequently provides staff and colleague educational training and workshops in the areas of fine motor, sensory integration, and classroom modifications. Shanti produced two musical CD's: figure 8 the musical way and Social skills along with books. Shanti is active with the local Autism society groups. She specializes in treating children with Autism Spectrum Disabilities. Shanti has completed HWT Advanced Advocacy training in October 2008. She has given inservices for school staff and parents. She also given seminars and workshops using HWT techniques. |
