Biography:Fern Herschfus graduated from Wayne State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree(Magna Cum Laude)in Psychology and in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (Magna Cum Laude). She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Theta Epsilon- Occupational Therapy Honor Society, and Golden Key Honor Society. Fern has experience working with children from 1 to 18 years of age in outpatient and school settings. She has presented the benefits of the Handwriting Without Tears Program to groups of teachers, parents, and therapists on many occassions. Fern recently wrote and obtained a grant which provided funding for an Early Intervention Sensory Integration Program. The program was implemented in several preschools. Fern is trained in the HWT Pre-K through 5th grade curriculum and is available for private tutoring.
