| Biography: | Mellissa Brissette received her AA degree in Applied Science from Western Iowa Tech Community College. BA degree in Business Management from Ottawa University. She holds National Board Certification and Arizona state license as an occupational therapy assistant. Melissa has spent the past 6 1/2years working with children, age 0-13 years, in the home health and inner-city/ rural public school settings. She has used the Handwriting Without Tears programs for five years and has had great success with the pre-k, printing, and cursive curriculums. She has worked with children who have a broad spectrum of medical and learning disabilities. She is and assistive technology specialist. She has had success in training and consulting with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents in the use of Handwriting Without Tears. Melissa believes that handwriting is an essential life skill and that it can build self confidence and self-esteem. |
