| Biography: | Jennifer Farber, B.A., B.Sc.,O.T.Reg(Ont.), received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with honours from the University of Toronto in 1996. Jennifer has provided Occupational Therapy services to children in the home and school environment using the HWTs program for over five years. She specializes with pre-kindergarten and school aged children who are experiencing difficulties with fine motor and the underlying problems adversely effecting handwriting performance. She uses fun, multi-sensory activities to teach handwriting instruction combined with games and activities that develop skills for handwriting mastery. Her sessions are individualized and based on each child's needs. Jennifer is trained in the HWT Pre-K through 5th grade curriculum as well as in the administration of the Print Tool assessment. Jennifer is currently working in private and school based environments using the HWTs approach to learning handwriting, increasing confidence and helping to reach a child's full potential. She also provides consultation and in-service training to teachers, parents and administrators. Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Please contact her for further information. |
